This tangled riot of colour was born out of the artist having a week long retreat in her native Poland, surrounded by forests and the bounty of life. It almost feels as though we are lying in the grass staring up through the beauteous canopy and catching glimpses of the sky beyond, or else becoming part of the tangled undergrowth, constantly shifting and growing. Painted with acrylic paint on a deep 3.5cm stretched canvas - the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas allowing the painting to be hung directly without framing.
