It may sound strange, but it seems that somehow the artist has taken an array of angular shapes and come out of it with something that manages to feel fluid and smooth. Whilst this painting was created in 2015 in Poland, we can’t help but feel that there is an echo of influence from Adrianna’s time in Cambodia. Exotic birds and an unusual landscape intertwine. Painted with oil paint on a deep 3.5cm stretched canvas - the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas allowing the painting to be hung directly without framing.

Painted for an annual showcase in Zakopane, Poland, Adrianna has incorporated the showcase’s theme of ‘Angels’ into one of her favourite subjects - the humble tree. As with her other work “Theatre Play: Angels”, this piece does not toe a traditionally religious line, yet evokes a wholly spiritual and ancient connection between the physical world and one less known and understood.
