This work was commissioned for a specific location in a private collection in England, and it was actually painted such that it could be hung either in a portrait or a landscape aspect. Quite often the artist will rotate her works whilst creating them, looking for additional perspectives where she can imbue meaning. Painted with oil paint on a deep 3.5cm stretched canvas - the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas allowing the painting to be hung directly without framing.
