In some ways this work feels as though it may, initially, be somewhat more traditional, for one can sense a landscape laid out before us, with perhaps a lake in the foreground reflecting the sky above. But at this point our traditional vision starts to fall apart, with our reflected sky itself reflecting another, altogether different landscape. No doubt Snochowska’s imagination has once again let itself loose, and we are drawn into her unique world-view. Painted with oil paint on a deep 3.5cm stretched canvas - the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas allowing the painting to be hung directly without framing.
