This large canvas hints at another world into which we have arrived and one through which we must travel. It is hard to tell whether it is night, or whether we are perhaps underground, in the midst of rock pools with motes of light reflecting azure into the cave. And whilst at first it may seem as though we must journey alone, we see there are characters we might meet, arrayed on the path in front. Painted with oil paint on a deep 3.5cm stretched canvas - the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas allowing the painting to be hung directly without framing.
