Having experimented with sculpture in the past, but never having completed a work for public display, Adrianna’s first completed sculpture is a triumph of the abstract study of form - one which gives the impression of a sculptor with a huge catalogue of works. This large heavyweight piece is built around a heavy wire frame, carefully shaped by the artist, onto which layers of clay and plaster have been moulded to form this impressionistic meeting of minds. The work has been finished with a variety of metal leaf, utilising oxidised pieces to painstakingly highlight and accentuate aspects of the form. It is a large piece sitting 34cm in diameter and 37cm high.
