At first the artists’s meaning may seem hard to grasp, but as often is the case, considered contemplation of the work slowly reveals the subject. In amongst the whirling, almost floral emotions, we find a figure, patient, ready, and waiting for that moment to arrive. Painted with oil paint on a deep 3.5cm stretched canvas - the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas allowing the painting to be hung directly without framing.

Having experimented with sculpture in the past, but never having completed a work for public display, Adrianna’s first completed sculpture is a triumph of the abstract study of form - one which gives the impression of a sculptor with a huge catalogue of works. This large heavyweight piece is built around a heavy wire frame, carefully shaped by the artist, onto which layers of clay and plaster have been moulded to form this impressionistic meeting of minds. The work has been finished with a variety of metal leaf, utilising oxidised pieces to painstakingly highlight and accentuate aspects of the form. It is a large piece sitting 34cm in diameter and 37cm high.

This large 150x100cm work evokes a complex and varied landscape. One can sense rolling hills leading to a lakeside, a city perhaps, a bridge. Perspective is warped, the autumnal colour palette, tinted by a burnt orange sky that transmutes into reflections on distant mountains glowing in the sunset. The scene is distorted and flattened and re-shaped with a new cartography. Painted with oil paint on a deep 3.5cm stretched canvas - the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas allowing the painting to be hung directly without framing.
