An enormous diptych painted across two 140x180cm canvasses, this work is definitely quite the departure from the artist’s usual approach. Much more minimal and subtractive in both form and tonality, this work suggests at a much larger image which extends beyond the edges of the canvas. Our eyes naturally fill in the missing parts of the image. It is reminiscent of complex audio-reactive visuals of the type often presented at electronic music concerts, and no doubt is heavily influenced by the music which is a constant companion to the artist in her studio. Both 140x80cm canvasses are 3.5cm deep - with the painting wrapping around the sides of the canvasses to allow the paintings to be hung directly without framing. The canvasses cannot be purchased individually and the price is for both as a single work.
