This stunning 120cm tall canvas is Adrianna at her best. Often in Adrianna’s works, the influence of the seasons is clear to behold, and no less so in this piece. Whilst it has been some time since she has painted a direct study of a tree, this feels like one of her strongest yet. Summer is over, autumn has ended or is just about to - this old and weathered chestnut tree steels itself for a wild and harsh winter - but one that we can sense it has the core strength to withstand.
